An Introduction to the new smecreditbureau.sg

The new smecreditbureau.sg platform went live on the 2nd of Jan 2009. The new platform has been specially designed to provide our members a quick, efficient and user friendly portal to access the information they need.

Some of the new features of the platform include:

• Access to all reports and information with a single log on,
• A hassle free membership renewal system,
• A greatly enhanced user friendly interface,
• An archive of all reports purchased on the new system,
• An efficient system to keep tabs of orders and invoices.

Membership and Access to information
Upon registration, members will have access to the latest news and information regarding product launches and conferences. The pre-paid plan options made available allow members to select a pre-paid package based on their own information needs. All members enjoy benefits of an inbox system and greater savings when conducting their information searches via a pre-paid package.

Alternatively non members have access to various information search products by utilizing the quick navigation bar at the head of the site. All nonmembers will have the convenience of purchasing their information immediately via credit card, upon accessing the portal.

Upon logging into the smecreditbureau.sg a wide range of search options will be made available via the products page.

Registration Of Company (ROC) search

To conduct a ROC search users will have to click on the Commercial Search product and then chose between the Biz Check search and the Biz Check Plus search options.

BizCheck
Key Registration Information of a Company, including a list of previous Directors.

BizCheck Plus
Key Registration Information, Litigation Information (High and Subordinate Courts) and Winding up Trace of a Company.

Litigation record search

To do a search on a company’s litigation record users will have to click on the “Litigation” product to access the litigation search products listed below.

Litigation Search
Provides a litigation trace of an individual or a company in both the High and Subordinate Courts.

Detailed Litigation Search
Provides details of a litigation case that include the suit number, plaintiff’s name and ID, defendant’s name and ID, nature of claim, date of writs, amount of claim, status, solicitor, solicitor’s ID, firm’s name.

Bankruptcy Search
The Bankruptcy Search provides a litigation trace based on an Individual. It includes the case number, action date, act of bankruptcy, hearing date, amount, plaintiff’s name, plaintiff’s solicitor, plaintiff’s solicitor ID, plaintiff’s law firm and plaintiff’s file of reference.

Companies Winding Up Search
This search provides a winding up trace of a company or business. It includes the case number, action date, act of bankruptcy, hearing date, amount, plaintiff, plaintiff’s solicitor, plaintiff’s solicitor ID, plaintiff’s law firm and the plaintiff’s file of reference.

Conducting a search on an individual

To conduct a search on an individual, users will have to click on the “Individual Search” product to access the search products listed below

Individual Search Plus
This search provides a list of company or business information associated with an individual who is the manager or owner of the business, agent of a foreign company, director, manager, managing director, secretary or shareholder of a local company. Additionally information on any litigation or writs of Summons against the individual will also be included.

Basic Individual Search
The information available via this search includes the names of present or previous businesses and companies (with telephone and faxnumber), the position held, appointment date, value of shares and the line of business.

People Profile Search
This search provide a list of company’s information associated with an individual who is the manager or owner of the firm, is the agent of a foreign company, director, manager, managing director, secretary or shareholder of a local Company.

Financial Information Search

For detailed report pertaining to the financial information of a company click on the “financial” button at the product page.

Financial Online
This search provides an audited financial statement of a company.

The Inbox
The Inbox will keep track of all reports purchased by members for 24 hours. Members will have the convenience of keeping tabs of reports purchased previously and will be able to download them at no additional cost. However, this service will only available for 24 hours since the purchase of the report.

The Archive System
The new archive system will keep track of all reports purchased for the duration of the service purchased. Similar to the Inbox, users will have the convenience of keeping tabs and downloading previously purchased reports, but will be able to enjoy the service for a longer time frame.

E.g. if a 3 month service is purchased all reports purchased within the 3 month time frame will be archived.
